Daiichi Luxury Cruise — detailed itinerary
- Day 1: Limousine pickup in Hanoi's Old Quarter · speedboat to Cat Ba Island · board, welcome drink and check into your private-balcony suite. Seafood fine-dining lunch as the ship sails into Lan Ha Bay.
- Afternoon: Kayak and swim around the Light & Dark caves, stop at a hidden beach; afternoon tea on the sundeck; soak in the jacuzzi as the sun sets over the bay.
- Evening: Seafood BBQ dinner under the bay lights, deck bar, night squid fishing.
- Day 2: Sunrise Tai Chi on the sundeck · cycle through Viet Hai fishing village · brunch · check out, cruise back and connecting bus to Hanoi.
The 3-day itinerary adds a full day deeper into the bay: a quiet beach, an afternoon SUP paddle, a Vietnamese cooking class with the chef and an on-board gala dinner — ideal for couples and families who want a complete retreat.
Six suite classes — all with a private balcony
- Deluxe — cosy entry class with floor-to-ceiling windows, a bay-view balcony and a rain shower.
- Junior — more space, warm wood interiors and a tea table by the panoramic window.
- Senior — higher deck, open views and a separate lounge corner.
- Executive — family-friendly, extra-bed ready, with a wide balcony.
- Premium — soaking bathtub, panoramic views, close to the sundeck and restaurant.
- Royal — the top suite: the largest space, a generous private balcony, a bathtub and the best sunrise-to-sunset views on the ship.
Lan Ha Bay or Ha Long Bay?
Lan Ha Bay sits right beside Ha Long Bay, sharing the same dramatic karst scenery but it is far quieter and more pristine: fewer boats, clearer water and hundreds of small beaches and sheltered coves for swimming and kayaking. Daiichi departs from Cat Ba, avoiding the crowds at Tuan Chau. For a calm, private night close to nature, Lan Ha is the better choice.
Best time to visit
- May – Sep (peak): warm weather and beautiful seas — ideal for swimming and kayaking.
- Oct – Nov: cool, clear and dry — the best time of year.
- Dec – Feb: crisp, with atmospheric morning mist — great for a relaxing, photogenic escape.
- Mar – Apr: mild and blossoming — a balance of good rates and fine weather.
